A Statement by the Candidates (in Greek)
Results of the Deliberation
The Deliberative Polling process was completed on June 4, 2006 , with the citizens' deliberation and the secret ballot.
The result of the fisrt round of the ballot was:
Alexandris 52
Breyiannis 26
Karanasiou 16
Diacoliou 15
Vlachos 12
Veloudos 4
There were, also, 16 invalid and 1 white vote.
Since none of the candidates got an absolute majority in the first round, there was a second round between the two candidates with most votes in the first round, Alexandris and Bregiannis. The result was:
Alexandris 65
Breyiannis 48
Invalid votes 12
White 6.
As was announced by G. A. Papandreou, the President of PASOK, Panagiotis Alexandris will be the candidate to be supported by PASOK in Marousi.
